SECOND SUNDAY OF PASSIONTIDE

SUNDAY MASSES

Holy Mass is on Sunday at 8.00, 9.30 and 11.30 am.

SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
The Sacrament of Baptism will be administered today at 3.00 pm.

PALMS
Palms will be blessed today before the Last Mass.

CHILDREN OF MARY SOLADITY
The Children of Mary Soladity will meet today in the Convent after Last Mass.

LENTEN DEVOTIONS
There will be Lenten Devotions this evening at 6.30 pm.

WEEKDAY MASSES
Holy Mass on Monday and Tuesday will be at 7.30 and 8.00 am and on Wednesday at 7.30 only.

CONFESSIONS
Confessions will be heard on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 7.00 until 8.00 pm; on Saturday morning from 11.00 to 12.00 noon; and on Saturday evening from 5.00 until 7.00 pm when the Church will be locked untill 10.00 am so that preparations may be made for the Vigil service.

COLLECTIONS
The special collection made last Sunday for the Renovations Fund amounted to £23 13s 2d. The special collection today is for the Diocesan Building Fund. Since next Sunday is Easter Sunday, all offerings are expected to be silver and therefore there will not be a special collection.

HOLY WEEK SERVICES
Please bring your Holy Week books with you and take your part in all the services.

HOLY THURSDAY
The Holy Thursday service will begin with Holy Mass at 7.30 pm. Thereafter, there will be Watching at the Altar of Repose until midnight. Watching at the Altar of Repose will recommence at 8.00 am on Friday morning and will continue until the Good Friday service which will begin at 3.00 pm.

GOOD FRIDAY
The Good Friday service will begin at 3.00 pm. In the evening, there will be Stations of the Cross followed by Veneration of the Cross at 7.00 pm. A special collection will be made on this day for the Holy Places. Good Friday is a day of fast and abstinence.

HOLY SATURDAY
The Holy Saturday Vigil Service will begin at 11.00 pm.

HOLY COMMUNION
Holy Communion may be received at all Holy Week services provided that a fast from solid food has been observed for three hours and from non-alcoholic liquids for one hour. If Holy Communion is received at the Vigil service, reception on Easter Sunday is, of course, forbidden.

CLEANING OF THE CHURCH
The customary cleaning of the Church will take place on Monday of this week. Will as many women as possible please attend and so lighten the work?
