which we pay a monthly levy of £1250.
PARISH

Last weekend's collection for the Parish Centre amounted to £272.13

CHURCH REPAIRS
The help you give for Church repairs by dropping in a white envelope from
time to time is invaluable. The fund stands at £5604.50. We have a continuing
task in keeping the Church wind and watertight.
BANKER'S ORDERS
Have you thought of using a Bankers Order? It assists us with the safe handling
of cash. Banker's Orders for the Parish and Centre amount to an average of
£3800 per month. Forms are available.
GIFT AID
Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed is that you pay tax.
You simply declare that you give funds to the Church. We do the rest. Why
not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every £1 you give
the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation. There is no
need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.

Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?

Ozanam Centre in Glasgow. The Ozanam Centre assists the homeless, both male

very gratefully received. A box will be placed in the Church porch for any
donations and we hope that we can rely on your usual very generous support.
Thank you.

Mary's Church, Saltcoats for £10.
YEAR OF FAITH
To mark the Year of Faith, the Bishops of Scotland have set up a special website
and social media feeds to help us learn about all that is happening at local,
national and international level and to assist us to grow in faith during
this time of grace. The address is www.YearOfFaithScotland.com
In addition, special services will be provided via Facebook and Twitter, offering
news, points for reflection and ideas on how to mark the Year of Faith. Please
consider following www.facebook.com/yearoffaithscotland
and www.twitter.com/scotyearoffaith.
LOURDES
This year’s Jumbulance pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from 25 April to
4 May. There are places available for both helpers and assisted pilgrims.
The Jumbulance is operated by ACROSS and designed to allow even those who
would be unable to fly the opportunity to go on pilgrimage to Lourdes. At
present, this group is the only one based in our diocese, originating in Hurlford,
but is open to all of Galloway Diocese and indeed beyond. If you would like
to find out more about taking part this year or for future years, please contact
Group Leader Alison Neil on 07749 555955 or amd.neil@virgin.net.
SCOTTISH CHURCHES STARTER PACKS
Starter Packs is an initiative of the Scottish Churches organised locally
by Women's Aid. When people are allocated a house, they very often don’t have
the basic necessities and many tenancies fail as a result. This initiative
tries to provide a starter pack. There is a leaflet explaining our part in
it.
VISITORS
Are you visiting us for Mass? Please know that you are very welcome. During
the 10.30 am Mass outwith holidays, there is a Children’s Liturgy provided
for preschool children, children in Primaries 1 to 3 and a Sacramental Programme
for children in Primary 4. After the 10.30 am Mass, tea, coffee cakes and
buns are available in the Parish Centre. At both of our weekend Masses, we
have a second collection for our Parish Centre debt.
HMS DASHER WEEKEND
The Memorial Service for the seventieth anniversary of the sinking of HMS
Dasher off Ardrossan will take place on Sunday 24 March at 11.30 am at
the Dasher Memorial opposite the Church.
KITS FOR KIDS 2013
Tass Thistle Colts have been selected to take part in the Daily Record and
Sunday Mail Kits for Kids. Some of our younger parishioners are involved.
The team has to collect a target of 5000 tokens over the ten week promotion
duration. The tokens appear every day in the Daily Record and Sunday Mail.
Please drop the tokens off at the stall. Kits for Kids 2013 is in association
with Lloyds TSB Scotland. Last year, it gave away kit and training gear to
400 teams all over the country all thanks to the Daily Record and Sunday Mail.
Lloyds TSB Scotland has been supporting the great initiative for three years,
as well as being sponsors of Scottish Schools Football Association. Their
support includes girls' and boys' competitions across the country and the
Scottish Schools International squads. Kits for Kids will give 400 teams the
chance to get free gear for the whole squad. We’ve got kit for both seven-a-side
team and eleven-a-side teams.
ADVERTISER SUPPORT
Our advertisers would welcome your support. We are grateful for their continuing
sponsorship. We are grateful for the support of Mr and Mrs Sohal, Nisa Stores,
Glasgow Street for the weekly donation of tea, coffee and milk for the Sunday
teas.
PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness
and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone.
It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in
whatever capacity with
the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it
is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and
voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional
abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
