FINANCES
Bankers Orders for the parish and Parish Centre amount to £3800 per
month. Every month, we pay a levy of £1450 to the Diocese. We are grateful
for your generous support in collections. If you can manage a little more
from time to time, it would be a great help. Have you thought of using a Bankers
Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Banker's Orders for the
Parish and Centre amount to an average of £3800 per month. Forms are
available. Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?
OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £691.51 - many thanks.
BUILDING
FUND COLLECTION
Last weekend's Building Fund collection amounted to £291.32 - many thanks.
GIFT AID
The Inland Revenue now requires us to use a new style of Gift
Aid form. These are available at the back of the Church and on the parish
website. If you pay tax, please complete the new form and return it to the
box provided. This allows us to provide the additional information required
on the Gift Aid claim. Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed
is that you pay tax. You simply declare that you give funds to the Church.
We do the rest. Why not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every
£1 you give the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation.
There is no need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.
COLLECTION ENVELOPES
New collection envelopes are now available at the stall. Please let us know
if you wish to switch to a standing order. Forms are available.
READERS
Next weekend's readers are Ronnie Cairns at 5.30
pm and Margaret Harvey at 10.30 am.
ALTAR SERVERS
Next weekend's altar servers are Aidan and Calum at 5.30
pm and Group 3 at 10.30 am.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY
The
Children's Liturgy restarts in September.
EMBRACING CHANGE
The Service of Prayer on Pentecost Sunday afternoon in Saint John’s, Stevenston
was exceptionally well attended by parishioners from across the deanery. As
was pointed out things are changing - and we might find it hard. Embracing
Change is the process going on throughout the Diocese as we prepare for a
time when we have fewer priests and a Church being enlivened by Pope Francis.
As has been mentioned, the priests of this Deanery have been meeting since
Christmas to discuss our leadership role in a time of change. Largs and Millport
now share a Parish Priest as do Kilbirnie, Beith and Dalry. Saint Margaret's
in Irvine has closed. Saltcoats now has only one parish. The full
text of the notes of our meetings is on the parish website at www.SaintPeterInChains.net.
This might give you a flavour of our thinking and planning. There is also
a brief timetable. The Sunday afternoon times of prayer during Lent were important
and were quite well attended. The next step is an open
meeting for everyone in the Deanery in Saint Matthew’s Academy, Saltcoats
on Sunday 29 June at 3.00 pm. We bring together or views
on the way forward - Pope Francis calls us to be 'Church' in a new way. Circumstances
are changing faster than we can easily cope. Change is coming - can we shape
it? Please get involved by reading the notes, making suggestions and so on.
If you would like a copy of the notes - as opposed to reading them on the
website - please send an email requesting a copy. I’ll happily print out a
copy for anyone who asks. Progress will be reported to you as we go along.
50/50 CLUB
Many thanks to all members who support the 50/50 Club. If you would like to
join the Club, please contact the Promoter, Myriame Sammons on 01294 469006.
THE QUEEN’S BATON
The Queen's Baton for the Commonwealth Games will arrive in Ardrossan on Tuesday
15 July. Vehicle access to the Church and grounds will be impossible between
about 2.00 and 8.00 pm that day due to South Crescent Road being pedestrian
only. Mass time should be unaffected.
WHITHORN CAMP
A Whithorn Camps is organised for this summer for over 16s on 30 and 31 August.
As well as the outdoor camping experience, we will explore the history and
spirituality of Saint Ninian. More details can be found at Galloway Catholic
Youth on Facebook, www.GallowayYouth.org.uk
or from Father Stephen McGrattan
on info@rccumnock.org.uk or 01290 421031.
SAINT PETER’S CHILDREN’S CENTRE
Funded nursery places at Saint Peter's Children's Cente are still available
for children who are three years of age before 28 February 2015. It is proposed
that an afternoon two hour session for children aged two to three years will
start in August. Please contact Josephine Coulter on 473030 for more information.

Ardrossan. The telephone number is 01294 602720. Please contact the team if
you or someone you know of someone who needs assistance.

the 10.30 am Mass outwith holidays, there is a Children’s Liturgy provided
for preschool children, children in Primaries 1 to 3 and a Sacramental Programme
for children in Primary 4. After the 10.30 am Mass, tea, coffee cakes and

have a second collection for our Parish Centre debt.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness
and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone.
It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in
whatever capacity with
the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it
is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and
voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional
abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
