FINANCES
Bankers Orders for the parish and Parish Centre amount to £3800 per
month. Every month, we pay a levy of £1450 to the Diocese. We are grateful
for your generous support in collections. If you can manage a little more
from time to time, it would be a great help. Have you thought of using a Bankers
Order? It assists us with the safe handling of cash. Banker's Orders for the
Parish and Centre amount to an average of £3800 per month. Forms are
available. Would you consider remembering Saint Peter's in your will?
OFFERTORY COLLECTION
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £835.50 - many thanks.
SURVIVE-MIVA
COLLECTION
Last weekend's Survive-Miva collection amounted to £730.20 - many thanks.
GIFT AID
The Inland Revenue now requires us to use a new style of Gift
Aid form. These are available at the back of the Church and on the parish
website. If you pay tax, please complete the new form and return it to the
box provided. This allows us to provide the additional information required
on the Gift Aid claim. Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed
is that you pay tax. You simply declare that you give funds to the Church.
We do the rest. Why not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every
£1 you give the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation.
There is no need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.
COLLECTION ENVELOPES
New collection envelopes are now available at the stall. Please let us know
if you wish to switch to a standing order. Forms are available.

EMBRACING CHANGE
Embracing Change is the process going on throughout the Diocese as we prepare
for a time when we have fewer priests and a Church being enlivened by Pope
Francis. The full text of the notes of our meetings is on the parish website,
as is a summary of the Pentecost Service. Go to www.SaintPeterInChains.net.
This might give you a flavour of our thinking and planning. Please get involved
by reading the notes, making suggestions and so on. If you would like a copy
of the notes - as opposed to reading them on the website - please send an
email requesting a copy. I’ll happily print out a copy for anyone who asks.
The afternoon meeting in Saint Matthew's Academy was very well attended. Again
the full report of the meeting and its various parts will be on the website
as soon as it is finalised - holidays - and copies can be made available to
everyone who asks.

The Lourdes Reunion dinner Dance will be held on Saturday 9 August from 7.30
to 11.30 pm in Saint John's Church Hall, Stevenston at a cost of £7.50.

very much appreciated.
MARY’S MEALS CLOTHING AND TEXTILES COLLECTION
The team from Mary's Meals
will be here on the weekend of 9 and 10 August. They will collect and use

a year. Donations can be left in the Parish Centre on Saturday all day and
on Sunday till 12 noon only.
AFTERNOON SAIL TO CAMPBELTOWN
The ferry for Campbeltown leaves Ardrossan at 1.50 pm and returns at 7.45

if it is a good day - we could have a picnic and sail on Sunday 10 August?
Quite a few have agreed—so it is on!
