HOSPITAL
CHAPLAINCY
If a member of your family or a friend is sick, please let us know and give
us the details. Deacon Bill Corbett (01292 521208, 07904 248948, Rev.BillCorbett@btinternet.com)
is the chaplain to Crosshouse Hospital and is assisted by the priest on call
each week. Canon Pat Keegans (01292 263488) is the chaplain to Ayr Hospital
and the Ayrshire Hospice.
FINANCES
Bankers Orders for the Parish and Parish Centre amount to £3800 per
month. Every month, we pay a levy of £1450 to the Diocese. We are grateful
for your generous support in collections. If you can manage a little more
from time to time, it would be a great help. A Standing Order would make the
handling of money so much easier. Have you signed a Gift Aid form? If you
are a taxpayer the Church would get 25p added to every £1 you donate.
COLLECTIONS
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £610.14 and the Maintenance
Fund collection to £280.94 - many thanks.
GIFT AID
The Inland Revenue now requires us to use a new style of Gift
Aid form. These are available at the back of the Church and on the parish
website. If you pay tax, please complete the new form and return it to the
box provided. This allows us to provide the additional information required
on the Gift Aid claim. Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed
is that you pay tax. You simply declare that you give funds to the Church.
We do the rest. Why not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every
£1 you give the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation.
There is no need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.
PARISH RECORDS
Our parish records are covered by the Data Protection Act and are for parish
use only. We cannot give out phone numbers or addresses. Please help us to
keep our records up to date using the cards provided.

Galloway Lourdes Hospitalité is holding their first sign-up session

in July 2017. We are looking for doctors, nurses and medical assistants. Also
required are general male and female helpers. Would you like to find out more
about this opportunity? Please come along to the sign-up session by dropping-in
on Sunday 24 April at Saint Joseph's Hall, Kilmarnock, between 3.00 and 5.00

RAINBOWS AND BROWNIES - MONDAY NIGHT UNITS
The Rainbows and Brownies who meet on Monday night in the Parish Centre will
be on holiday on Monday 21 March and the following three weeks during the
Easter break. We return on Monday 18 April at the normal times.
CHURCH DOORS
Before another winter hits us, we need to replace the Church doors. The main
doors swell badly in the rain and are impossible to open and shut properly.
Because the Church is an A-Listed building, more durable replacement doors
need to be specially made. This is being done but the total cost of main and
side doors will be over £10000. I need to make an appeal to you for
help. Brown envelopes will be available and any fundraising you can organise
will be extremely useful. Extra in the second collection is a perfect way
of helping. So far, donations total £515.
CATHEDRAL SUNG EVENING PRAYER FOR EASTERTIDE
Evening Prayer of the Church will be sung in Saint Margaret's Cathedral, Ayr
on Sunday 17 April at 6.00 pm. You will be very welcome.

a one day residential retreat from Friday 27 at 10.30 am to Saturday 28 May

your health, wishing to lose weight or are diabetic or have other issues.

Matthew's Academy Parent Council Race Night might
be. It will be held on Friday 6 May in Ardrossan Rugby Club from 7.30 pm to

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS - MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Church in Scotland is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness
and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose for everyone.
It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in
whatever capacity with
the Church and its organisations. As a Church community, we accept that it
is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and
voluntary members, to work together to prevent the physical, sexual, emotional
abuse or neglect of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
