HOSPITAL
CHAPLAINCY
If a member of your family or a friend is sick, please let us know and give
us the details. Deacon Bill Corbett (01292 521208, 07904 248948, Rev.BillCorbett@btinternet.com)

FINANCES
Bankers Orders for the Parish and Parish Centre amount to £3500 per
month. We are grateful for your generous support in collections. If you can
manage a little more from time to time, it would be a great help. A Standing
Order would make the handling of money so much easier. Have you signed a Gift
Aid form? If you are a taxpayer the Church would get 25p added to every £1
you donate.
COLLECTIONS
Last weekend's Offertory collection amounted to £678.27 and the Maintenance
Fund collection to £248.70 - many thanks.
GIFT AID
The Inland Revenue now requires us to use a new style of Gift
Aid form. These are available at the back of the Church and on the parish
website. If you pay tax, please complete the new form and return it to the
box provided. This allows us to provide the additional information required
on the Gift Aid claim. Gift Aid is a vital source of income. All that is needed
is that you pay tax. You simply declare that you give funds to the Church.
We do the rest. Why not sign a form today? We get back an extra 25p for every
£1 you give the Church in your weekly collection or by way of a donation.
There is no need to cancel or renew it. We simply claim in the income we receive.
PARISH RECORDS
Our parish records are covered by the Data Protection Act and are for parish
use only. We cannot give out phone numbers or addresses. Please help us to
keep our records up to date using the cards provided.
READERS
Next weekend's readers are Katrina Pollock at 5.30 pm and
Patricia Milligan at 10.30 am.

pm and Group 4 at 10.30 am.

LITURGY

MUSIC AT MASS
Some of the our young people in first to sixth years at school are going to

CANON MATT RETIRAL
Canon
Matt is due to retire on 7 September. Father
Duncan McVicar, our new parish priest, has invited the Canon to concelebrate
the Sunday Mass on 10 September. That weekend the Sunday Mass will be at 11.30
am instead of 10.30 am and will be followed by a lunch in the Parish Centre.
Details will be given later.
CHURCH MAINTENANCE
As you will probably notice, the high level windows on the south-facing side
of the Church are being resealed and repointed to keep out the rain. The Building
Fund will cover this work. We must very soon start on the roof of the section
where the Parish Centre is linked to the Church. this will be an expensive
job and probably beyond what the Building Fund can afford - but it is needed.
After the summer, I will seek your help through fundraising envelopes.
POPE FRANCIS'S MISSION INTENTIONS FOR JULY
We pray that, through our prayer and witness to the Gospel, all brothers and
sisters of goodwill may rediscover the merciful closeness of the Lord and
the beauty of the Christian life.
SPIRIT OF YOUTH PRODUCTIONS
Spirit of Youth productions are confidence-building drama workshops. All classes
will be held in the Parish Centre meeting rooms next to the main hall. New
first year to third year pupils meet on Monday 3 July and every Monday thereafter
at 6.15 to 8.15 pm for the remainder of the summer holiday. The cost is £7
per week. New primary four to seven pupils meet on Thursday 6 July and every
Thursday thereafter at 6.15 to 8.15 pm for the remainder of the summer holiday.
The cost is £6 per week. Discounts are available for parents with more
than one child attending the classes. Booking is essential. Please contact
